I've been in the
radio business for 22 years, although just returned to the microphone in
February 2008 after a nine year hiatus. I've worked at numerous stations
in
Rhode Island, and southeastern
Massachusetts, starting at 1370 WKFD in
Wickford (with Vic Michaels) in September 1978. My current radio gig is
a weekend position at B101 in Providence, where I've been since February
2008. Along the way, I've also worked at WPRO-AM 630, JB-105, 100.3 The
Hawk, WGNG 550, WHIM 1110, WSNE 93.3, an earlier stint at B101 (from
1990-1999), as well as a volunteer position at In-Sight Radio (closed
circuit radio for the visually impaired) in
Warwick.
I'm psyched to be driving you home each and every weekday
afternoon on the new JB105.com.
I'm married,
with two children, two grandchildren, two cats, and a zebra finch.
Among my
interests and hobbies are aggravating local newspaper editorial staffs
with my frequent letters to the editor, softball, 10-pin bowling, and
hanging around with my wife.
I'd like to be
more politically involved in
Attleboro, and might like to run for
office there, some day. Winning the lottery is also a goal.
Musically
speaking, I'm possibly New
England's biggest fan of Jeff
Lynne and the Electric Light Orchestra. I'm also a big New York
Yankee, Dallas Cowboy and L.A. Laker fan, which probably doesn't score
me many points around these parts. |
