History began on August 1, 1975, when WPJB-FM, owned by the Providence Journal Company flipped formats from Classical to Top 40 and created JB-105.  For years this hit music powerhouse fought head to head in the ratings with cross-town WPRO-FM.  For nearly a decade, some of the world's greatest DJ's stepped behind the microphone to entertain Southern New England.  During this time, radio had never sounded so exciting with all of the high energy personalities, upbeat hit music, extreme audio processing and lots-o-reverb.  Sadly, on June 13, 1985 after an incredible battle, a recording was played continuously on the air proclaiming that "WPJB is dead !".  The following morning, JB-105 had disappeared from the airwaves for twenty-three years.  On October 24, 2008 this remarkable radio station was reincarnated by long time Southern New England radio veteran John Stevens who had fondly grown up with JB-105 during it's exciting run.  Although the station is not broadcast over the air any longer, it can now be heard worldwide on the internet with its epicenter right back in Providence where it once shared domination of the hit music universe with WPRO-FM.  The nostalgic sound of JB-105 has been carefully preserved and reconstructed with great on-air sound including lots of reverb. The new JB-105 will play all of today's current hit music with a sprinkling of some of the tunes that made the station unique.  You will even hear some of the original DJ's that made JB-105 famous.. We're sure you will love the all new "JB-105".    The legacy continues on...   Cheers !

UPDATE:  WE WILL ENHANCE THE STATION OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS TO INCORPORATE NEW PROGRAMS, JOCKS, ETC.  THANKS !
